Mortgage Loan Closer
Responsibilities
- coordinate all aspects of the loan closing process and the post-closing delivery of mortgage loans to secondary market investors
- coordinate and schedule loan closings, addressing any concerns during and after the closing process
- prepare and finalize closing documents, ensuring all necessary conditions are met
- maintain knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring compliance with RESPA, TILA and TRID
Requirements
- minimum 2 years’ experience in closing/post-closing of conventional and government loans
- knowledge of automated underwriting system
- multitask and prioritize workflow
Mortgage Underwriter
Responsibilities
- underwrite residential mortgage loans to meet investor and portfolio guidelines
- analyze and render credit decisions on residential mortgage loan applications consistent with internal policies and investor guidelines as established by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
- evaluate loan submissions for accuracy, completeness and adherence to agency and investor guidelines
- calculate qualifying income including analyzing complex tax returns and financial statements
- review and approve appraisals
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent experience as an underwriter
- working knowledge of underwriting conventional agency loans
- current knowledge of Fannie/Freddie guidelines, standards and practices regarding tax return analysis and appraisal review
- comprehension of FNMA, FHLMC and other investor guidelines
- experience with automated underwriting systems
