Business Development Officer
This newly created position supports Mid America Bank’s expansion in Columbia. The business development officer plays a key part in establishing the bank’s presence, building strong community and business relationships and helping grow the bank’s footprint. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys opening doors, driving relationship‑based growth and making a meaningful impact in a developing market.
Responsibilities
- identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking and referrals
- actively engage with clients and prospects to market noncredit products and services, both independently and with commercial and retail associates
- achieve deposit and fee income goals
- participate in the execution of the bank’s strategic plan and collaborate with partners on the development of short- and long-term plans for noncredit products within the bank
Requirements

proven experience in sales, banking or financial services, with 3+ years preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate training and sales activities
- strong conversational and active listening skills, with the ability to translate client needs into clear next steps and documentation
- results-driven with a track record of meeting sales targets

Loan Officer
The loan officer in Belle plays a key role in the continued growth of Mid America Bank in an established rural market with strong community ties. This position focuses on building new relationships, expanding existing ones and helping local businesses and individuals succeed. This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven professional who enjoys sales, community involvement and growing the bank’s community presence.
Responsibilities

support the bank’s growth objectives by identifying lending opportunities, deepening customer relationships and promoting bank products and services
- use a consultative approach to understand borrower needs and recommend appropriate credit solutions while balancing customer relationships, growth and risk
- represent the bank in the community by building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, referral partners and local organizations to support long term growth and trust
Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or equivalent preferred

minimum of 2-5 years of banking experience preferred, with flexibility to substitute years of experience for educational requirements or related work experience
- proven ability to meet or exceed sales and production goals through active prospecting, relationship management and closing strategies
- knowledge of local market conditions and community lending practices
